SEB Trainee Program 2012


The Norwegian Corporate & Investment Trainee Programme gives the trainees a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of SEB in Norway and of SEB as a whole. 
SEB offers Trainee positions within: 


  • Client Relationship Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Equity
  • Operational Excellence

The programme comprises three parts: 

  • A common component of various courses and training including an individually designed component
  • Internship in another department and activities across units in SEB in Norway
  • Working in home department

Some of the courses included in the programme will typically be: 

  • Introduction to SEB
  • Presentation technique
  • Negotiation techniques

Each trainee will work at a “home department” during the traineeship. A tutor, together with the trainee, will design a tailored education programme that could include everything from product development and participation in various projects to field trips and working with other units in home division and divisions abroad. Exchanges with other units within and outside home country will be part of common and individual programme. The traineeship provides you with an opportunity to learn about SEB and build valuable networks for future career. The success of your year as a trainee depends largely on how you embrace the opportunities provided. To support you in this, you will have regular discussions with your tutor at your home department and regular development discussions with your immediate manager. These will lead to an individual development plan in which goals and expectations are made clear. After your year as a trainee you will be permanent employed within SEB in Norway.
